Specialty Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Issues and Trends Seminar

Tuesday, January 31—Wednesday, February 1, 2012
The Adolphus • Dallas, Texas

Inaugural Specialty Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Issues and Trends Seminar a Success

The specialty pharmaceutical sector continues to experience unprecedented growth, at 6.3 percent in 2010 alone. It is predicted that by 2016, eight of the top 10 branded drugs sold will be specialty pharmaceuticals. Following the publication of three Center specialty-focused research studies in 2011—the Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research held the first “Specialty Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Issues and Trends Seminar” in Dallas on January 31 and February 1.

Sponsored by AmerisourceBergen Corporation, CuraScript SD Specialty Distribution and Genentech, the seminar provided an opportunity for more than 75 senior-level distributor, manufacturer and other supply chain professionals and stakeholders to examine trends and hot topics in the specialty pharmaceutical segment; discuss the impact of innovations and regulations on the future of this segment; and, network with their peers.
